Presented by Ho Chi Minh City University of Education and Victoria University of Wellington, The 3rd IVNZTESOL Conference offers an excellent professional development opportunity for TESOL and applied linguistic professionals, educators, and teachers of English to share their research achievements and mingle with colleagues and experts. It is open to English language professionals, educators and EFL teachers at all stages in their careers.
The 2023 event will take place on 4-5 November 2023. Plenaries will be announced soon.

Conference theme
The theme of the 2023 conference is Creating learning communities in TESOL.
The theme is designed to recognise the value and the variety of relationships that contribute to successful learning in English language teaching. The most obvious community to consider is the one created between teachers and learners in the classroom. But it is not the only one. There are many others such as the relationships between learners working together, between teachers and the community (particularly parents), and between schools and policymakers. A further example is the learning community created in teacher education, whether pre-service or in-service. The conference theme also invites consideration of the tools used to create learning communities, and in recent times particularly online tools. The conference will provide an opportunity to think and learn about the communities that shape our work.
We welcome research and practice-based papers that relate to the conference theme in any of the many areas that contribute to the field of TESOL, including but not limited to:
-
Language assessment and testing
-
Language in the classroom
