The mission and vision of the ED are completely aligned with
the mission and vision of HCMUE.
The Department of English’s Vision
By 2030, the ED will have become a prestigious unit of training and applied research in the fields of English language teacher training and applied English language in Vietnam as well as in Southeast Asia, providing high quality human resources to contribute to the development of Vietnam in the ever-changing global environment.
The Department of English’s Mission
The ED offers highly qualified labor forces demonstrating autonomy and creativity in the field of English language teaching and applied English language, who work professionally and ethically in educational and business environments. The ED strives to create a modern, supportive academic platform for students and lecturers to learn and research, contributing to the development and integration of Vietnamese education and economy into the global market. The ED also develops strong, sustainable and cooperative partnerships with other highly prestigious universities and institutions within the region and worldwide.
